What Is Hand-Crocheted Metal Jewelry?
Hand-crocheted metalwork is a technique where fine metal wire — typically sterling silver — is crocheted by hand, the same way you'd crochet with yarn, to create lacy, textured jewelry pieces. It's a rare skill that blends traditional textile craft with fine metalsmithing.

The Story Behind the Technique

"My grandmother first taught me to knit when I was a little girl, igniting a lifelong passion for the art of the stitch, the simplest unit of fabric."
Together, we created beautiful knitted fabrics, rich in color and texture, all infused with her love.
When I launched my jewelry brand in 1991, I knew I wanted to incorporate crocheted metal into my designs, echoing the warmth and creativity she offered me so lovingly.
Each design I make is a fusion of texture and material, symbolizing the moment my artistic journey began. As I continue as an artist, I blend textures and materials with a new priority of ethical mining and sustainable practices.
